Come Into My Disaster Area
This is a guide to the search result mess that surrounds my website, Come Into
  My Parlor.
If you look for the site in search engines, you're going to find results that
will give you nothing but 404 errors.  Or, in the case of GoDaddy, a
  polite "Coming Soon".
It has been a complete and utter nightmare trying to keep my site current and
resourceful.  This explains in part why it is I have this mess on my
hands.  And it is the direct result of the fact that Come Into My Parlor
and the other names it has been known by in recent years belongs to me and me
alone.  There's no "we", no "community".  Just me discussing a topic
that is dear to me and has been for thirty years now.  Just me offering
thoughts and insights in the hope that other fans will enjoy the content and
perhaps encourage others to read the novels for themselves.
Come Into My Parlor was launched--by me--on Tripod Lycos in June 2008.
In recent years, it has been known as The Mayfair Witches Parlor and had a
"sister site" hosted on GoDaddy called Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches.
The Mayfair Witches Parlor, I thought, would be a way to rebrand, with the
site's original title as a tag line.  But then, I had to make the
decision to move my site's content to a new host and unpublish it.
Not before I archived it myself.  Not before I made sure my records were
full of things that will resurface should anyone make the idiotic mistake of
trying to plagiarize or just plain steal my content.  In short, I am the
owner and always have been.  No one else.  Later on, I'll explain
what that means.  In the meantime, let me just break it down for y'all:
- Come Into My Parlor's URL was https:// mayfair95. tripod. com
 - Come Into My Parlor's former domain was www. comeintomyparlor. com
 - Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches began as a "sister site" to the Tripod site, but only for a blog and for social media connected to the website
 - Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches' URL was https:// chroniclesofthemayfairwitches. godaddysites. com
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor was the "new" name of the original Come Into My Parlor site, used in the last couple of years for the Tripod site.
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor was also the name of the Blogspot site at https:// themayfairparlor. blogspot. com
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor on Blogspot was also backed up and has some important metadata in those backup files--like publish dates, which I know because I just ran the backup file
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor name has previously been used for social media, but is not used for the site's social media now
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor 2.0 on Google Sites originally hosted the Parlor's content that was migrated from the Tripod Lycos site, and the archived pages of the Tripod Lycos site still have the previous links to it
 - The Mayfair Witches Parlor 2.0 had in its URL the-mayfair-witches-parlor
 - OY! The Mayfair Witches Parlor 2.0 is supposed to have a NOINDEX tag on it
 - Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches on GoDaddy is now unpublished by me, and I have moved the blog posts about the AMC series to this blog here
 - Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches on GoDaddy NEVER hosted any of the content of the original website but only linked to it
 - Come Into My Parlor is now restored as the name of the original site's content, and is hosted on Google Sites
 - Come Into My Parlor has a URL on Google Sites that includes mayfair-witches-chronicles. Like this: https://sites.google.com/view/mayfair-witches-chronicles/

Because name changes in experiments with rebranding have produced odd
results I cannot change except to restore the original names, or I just
don't feel like changing them again, you will notice Name vs. URL dumpster
    fires like:

  - NightCafe: is called The Midnight Garden but still has Mayfair Witches Parlor in its URL, which is permanent and cannot be changed.

However:
- Facebook: retains the title "Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches"
 - YouTube: retains the title "Chronicles of the Mayfair Witches" but retains the user handle @comeintomyparlor1995. Like this: https://www.youtube.com/@ComeIntoMyParlor1995
