The Original Parlor Hiccups

This will probably be the shortest and utterly UNfascinating blog post I've made in a while. The Mayfair Witches Parlor on Tripod Lycos has been throwing quite a few 502 errors lately. That is a server situation, an error like that. What that situation is exactly, I do not know. All I know is that I only know how to cuss in one language, so I'm going to have to do something about this.

For anyone who might be jumping for joy that my site seems to be hiccupping the way it is...I have bad news. Just terrible. I have my content backed up. I even have the site as it was before I overhauled it in early 2023 archived. Now, don't start throwing things. You'll scare the cats.

Everyone else, hang on. All is not lost.

Instead of going into that, I do want to point out something else. My Mayfair Witches site is a fan site created for fans by a fan. But--it is not my only interest. I've decided to rearrange a few things. This is where Digital Dollhouse Creations comes into it. I've had a YouTube channel for it for a while now, but I've rearranged things so that my Mayfair Witches site and the content I create is one section under the "umbrella" of Digital Dollhouse Creations.

Before I close this, there is one more thing. No website or social media of mine is going to use fake views, fake likes, fake comments, and no website or social media of mine welcomes fake subscribers/followers/members or any other automated detritus. They NEVER have and they NEVER will. Do NOT send any my way, either.

If you don't like my website or my content, or me, then it's really simple. Don't show up. Find something you do like. It's my understanding that some do stuff like this in response to what/who they consider to be a "competitor". Okay.

Here's the thing. This is AMERICA. We live in a society that allows us to discuss, to have commentary on literature, film, music, art, whatever it is, and we have to allow for others to do the same. Only certain people, certain entities, have the right to take action if something we do or say with regard to intellectual property is not above board. If those certain people/entities have a problem with something, they will say so directly.

In my case, they haven't.

And there's something I got acid reflux just writing...
