Whew!  Now that Alicia and Gifford have both died immediately after encountering Lasher in the flesh, and the Mayfair victims have increased in number, Rowan has realized the number will increase unless she stops Lasher.  While the first two episodes did indeed feel closer to the novels, the third episode takes us more into the onscreen version.  With a surprise or two.

I watched the entire episode thinking the actress playing Gifford was one I recognized from...somewhere...but didn't realize it was Thora Birch until I went to look for some meaningful images from the episode.  Wow.  She made a good Gifford Mayfair!

After a two-year wait, Season 2 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches premiered last night on AMC.  I only began to discuss my thoughts on episodes during Season 2 of Interview With the Vampire, but I thought I'd do the same here.  Especially since this site specifically discusses the Mayfair Witches.

Unfortunately, 2025 had a very tragic beginning in New Orleans.  

Fourteen people (fifteen if you include the driver) lost their lives in the early morning hours of January 1, 2025 when a pickup truck was driven into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans' French Quarter.  More than thirty people were injured, including police officers.

To the families and friends of the victims of this horrific attack, the survivors, their families and friends, and the city of New Orleans, know that the world grieves with you for the loved ones you lost, and is with you as you begin the process of healing while honoring those who you've lost.  

The Mayfair Witches Parlor is committed to doing anything it possibly can to help.  On the original Mayfair Witches Parlor, you will find a link to the fund set up through the Greater New Orleans Foundation to aid survivors and victims of this attack that was provided in yesterday's press conference update.  For those who might have any information that will aid the investigation into this attack, the Parlor has provided the contact telephone number and link for the FBI's tip lines.  The digital link is for those who might have any video made that could aid in the investigation.
